... was The Clash's third album. It was released as a double album in the UK on 14 December 1979, and in the USA in January 1980. It received widespread acclaim, and in 2003 it was ranked at number eight on Rolling Stone magazine's list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time".
The album reached No. 9 in the UK. Its highest chart placings were in Sweden and Norway, where it reached No. 2 and No. 4 respectively. In the USA (Billboard) it only managed No. 27.
The title track, released as a single, reached No. 11 in the UK (its highest placing in any country). In the USA it reached No. 30.
